    Dr. Murthy joined the Australian Longitudinal Study on Women's Health as a Postgraduate Research Scholar at the University of Newcastle, Australia.

    Current Research includes:
    • Navigating back pain care: a study of women's illness pathways. This mixed methods research is being conducted as part of the Australian Longitudinal Study on Women's Health, University of Newcastle, Australia.
    • The role of self-discovery and self-reflection of women's CAM use: Qualitative data from a cohort study of 3,731 women. Australian Longitudinal Study on Women's Health, University of Newcastle, Australia.

Dr. Murthy presented a public health intervention on Ayurvedic approaches to preventing Diabetes Mellitus amongst Indian Immigrants in New Zealand.

Ayurveda in the Care of the Elderly Population.
Dr. Murthy spoke at the second International Ayurveda and Yoga Conference, Ayurveda and Yoga Australia, Sydney and was awarded the International Ayurveda Ratna Award by the European Ayurveda Academy.
